CONDITION :
It would be a difficult task to adequately describe the effect that Johnny Cash had on country music when he first came on the scene at the end of 1955. This new act from Sun Records was changing country music nearly as much as Elvis, but in a completely different direction.
While some artists clung to the past, Cash was moving to the future with a stripped-down form based largely on his rhythm section, not the fiddles or steel guitars of the past.
This single of “Next In Line” and “Don’t Make Me Go” is from a session on April 4, 1957. The topside “Next In Line” went top ten on the country charts and this record got so much play on so many jukes, it's nearly impossible to find one that's not gone all grey in the grooves with wear. It's got that glorious Sun Records label with the rooster dead center and will be a great addition to your jukebox, or your Sun collection.
