Description
A most unusual set of vinyl records. There are six records in identical covers but each one with a different coloured plain label (no text on them at all).
The sleeves have details of all the tracks on each LP. "All records contain very rare and mostly previously not available recordings to the public"
The black label (MIB 20201) is Foreign recordings & others
The Red label (MIB 80301) is TV shows 1 including Neil Diamond, Ray Charles and the Statler brothers.
The Green label (MIB20401) is TV Shows 2 including Melanie, Ocie Smith & June Carter tracks)
The White label (MIB 80501) TV Shows 3 including Folsom Prison Blues
The Blue label (MIB 80601) TV Shows 4 including the Everly Brothers, Rod McKuen and Andy Williams tracks
The Yellow label (MIB 80701) BBC Radio Show 1968 (& L Perkins)
The records look to be in fair to good condition. The yellow and purple labels have some marks on them - possibly dirt marks but it may be very light scuff marks - it's hard to tell.
The covers all have some wear in the form of marks to the black (indentation form the LP inside), marks on the top right hand corner of 4 of the covers (it looks as if a label has been removed), some creasing (to corners especially) and marks generally to the black on each cover.
These have come from a collection we have recently acquired from the estate of a record collector. All the records listed have been stored for many years - most of them inside plastic envelopes. The main problem with them is dust which we have tried to gently clean. We are not experts in the record field and have no way of playing these. However, we have tried to describe them accurately having looked at them in good daylight and under a strong light.
There are hundreds of records in the collection including The Beatles, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Chet Atkins etc. Do ask if there's a record you're looking for and, if we have it, we'll list it in an auction.
Well worth a bid with no reserve - we will happily combine postage.
All items are posted first class recorded or International signed for if posted abroad and will be posted in a proper record package.
