They don't come any rarer than this. You are bidding on a massively rare signed copy of Ring of Fire, by Johnny Cash. This is one of a few original 1960's signed LP's I have in my collection courtesy of my aunt, who used to work for the BBC from the early 1960's to the mid 70's. She made an effort to always obtain the autographs of her little brother's (my dad!) favourite artists and bands!!! These have been in our family since then and are now make up a small part of a very large collection I will be slowly auctioning off over the next few months to a year on eBay, along with other rare 1st Press vinyl. Obviously, some signed memorabilia (i.e. Beatles signatures) will probably be heading for London auction houses, but I will try to list the occasional interesting piece here on eBay. I have been collecting very rare vinyl for a long time now. As a collector, I have been very critical about the condition of the records I have chosen to buy over the years, and, where possible, have only selected the most pristine 1st pressings I have found.  My collection is therefore filled with not only the rarest UK 1st pressings, demo's etc, but also records of the highest grade quality condition, some of the best you will probably ever come across. Sadly, most now have to find new homes. As I said, I am very strict with my grading, so when I describe a record as Nr Mint - you can rest assured that it will be a true Nr Mint record (I never grade any records as Mint because Mint does not exist unless you own a time machine and go back and bag a job in a 1960's record pressing plant!) You are bidding on a very special auction here... In all my time trawling through record shops/fairs etc. I have never come across another signed Johnny Cash LP, so I'm guessing there are very few about. The prices I have obtained for some of my collection on already has encouraged me to continue using eBay as a forum to sell off the bulk of my collection piece by piece.  This autograph was collected by my aunt, Mary, who was lucky enough to be around during what I can only imagine was a rare Johnny Cash visit. The signed record was then given to her little brother (my father) as a gift, as she did with all the signed rock/pop memorabilia she managed to get during her time with the BBC. This is a true one off unique and individual piece of history, it is rare in every respect, and I cannot stress how cool it looks and how sought-after something like this is, believe me I have had many offers for this (especially since Johnny sadly passed away), along with the rest of my record collection over the years!!! The authenticity of this piece is absolutely not in question and as such I will offer a LIFETIME money back guarantee if this winner is in any way unsatisfied!!! I just want this one to go to a good home! Due to the sentimental and actual value of this record I have done something I never do, and put a small reserve on it. It is not a massive reserve for what this is, and still leaves the winner with a chance to get it at a fair price, it just insures me that it at least reaches a fair reflection of its worth. If it does not reach the reserve than it will probably be sent to London to be auctioned with the aforementioned Beatles signed memorabilia and will probably not be re-listed on eBay. Although it is the autograph that makes this item so valuable, the actual record itself is a bit or a rarity too!!! It is a very early 1965 UK orange label CBS 1st pressing - very thick and chunky!!!  It is in lovely condition, with a beautiful unblemished disc and Garrod & Lofthouse laminated flipback sleeve with a complete lack of wear and very bright vibrant colours. The disc easily grades as Ex+, and the sleeve as EX!!! The all important un-laminated flipback reverse side with the signature is also nice, crisp and white, with virtually NO discolouration and NO yellowing - it shows off Johnny's signature beautifully. There is just a small light patch of grubbyness just above Johnny's signature that I have tried to show in the photos. The signature actually reads - 'To Mary, Johnny Cash'. As this is a totally unique item, it goes without saying that you'll never see it again after this auction has ended, so this will be your only chance to own it!!! Don't let it go or you will regret it - I'm already regretting listing it!!! This is a beautiful signed record and an absolutely essential record for any high grade folk/country collection - signed by the master himself!!! Do not underestimate the rarity of this unique record with such a clear readable signature!!! Authentic signed Johnny Cash memorabilia is in very high demand today, especially with big bold writing like this!!! If you are a collector/investor, the price of this record will just rise and rise. This record would be an essential addition to any highest grade rarities record collection.
