There’s an awful lot to like on this LP on W&G subsidiary Gem. It’s a live album which is none the worse sound wise for being so. It captures the very beginnings of rock’n’ roll in Melbourne. There are some Chester releases that never surfaced elsewhere as well as alternate versions of some of his classics (eg What a Night) The Thunderbirds are at their very best on this. All their tracks are great and their backing on songs like Can Can Ladies is amazing. The other standout feature in the lineup, for me, at least, is Hey Lawdy Lawdy by Jillian Buckley on side two. This is the only place I know it from and there aren’t composing credits on the label. It might well be an Aussie composition. It's a great rocker and up with the best. The front cover is superb. Almost all the print is still on the spine. There's a small amount of print missing from the blurb on the back (see scan) Still- a high end copy.

MINT: Brand new condition, no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras in perfect condition.                                                                                                                                                                        EXCELLENT: Slight signs of having been played, no lessening of sound quality. Cover, label, extras are good.                                                                                                                                                                                                VERY GOOD: Played quite a few times, no real deterioration in sound quality. Cover, label, extras slight amount of wear and tear.                                                                                                                                                           GOOD: Showing some wear and tear. Reasonable, playable sound. No major defects in record, cover, label, extras.                                                                                                                                                                                          FAIR: Sound quality deteriorated.
