Description
Here is an excellent copy of Surf 5019, complete with the extremely rare printed sleeve that it was issued with in 1957. The is the only copy we've ever seen with the sleeve in many years of scouring the bins on the West Coast. Surf Records was based in Burbank, CA and released a few dozen 45s between 1957 and '64. Both sides of this record ("Bertha Lou" and "Til the Law Says Stop") were penned by John Marascalco, who also wrote "Rip It Up" and "Ready Teddy" with Bumps Blackwell. The sleeve advertises Marascalco's involvement with this release. The sleeve is in beautiful condition, a solid VG+ with a few very light creases. The disc is excellent with some faint sleeve wear that does not affect play.
