Label: See photo, Blue Note BLP 1533, deep groove mono original press, 767 Lexington Ave address on labels, RVG and Ear in run-outsRecord Grade: VG-. On first glance LP looks like a decent VG with some scratches on side 1 song 1 ("Mil Dew") which cause some very light background ticks. Some light scuffing/sleeve marks elsewhere. Had to downgrade to a VG- because there's a barely perceptible "cloudy" patch on side 1 that causes surface noise as the stylus passed over the area on each rotation. It doesn't appear to be heat damage or anything of that nature; my guess is it's some kind of off-gassing artifact from long exposure to an innersleeve or the inner of the cover. Seems impervious to even a deep clean. Affects the second through fourth songs on side 1. Side 2 plays much better. This LP has been VPI-cleaned and stored in a new audiophile-quality innersleeve.
Cover Grade: VG, top and bottom seams are split about six-inches from right side. Looks nice otherwise. No original Blue Note innersleeve.
