(Acetate / 78-rpm)
One-of-a-kind 78-rpm split acetate featuring Johnny Hallyday (on the A-side) and Sacha Distel (on the B-side)!
It was released by Mc Cann Erickson Corp. (Buenos Aires) for The Coca-Cola Company (circa 1966).
There is no way to know further details of this acetate pressing and the history behind.
No other copies have been reported over the past decades!
This is the only one in existence to date,
and possibly the only one ever manufactured (who knows).
Please note: In this special case, I will not assign a specific grade to this acetate disc.
Unfortunately the record's condition has deteriorated over the years,
and it has noticeable damages as you can see in the pictures
(due to improper storage as usual with these fragile discs).
The playing surface shows diverse flaws,
and there are some areas where the lacquer is missing.
So it is actually NOT playable (at least not in a good manner).
It also has some dirt here and there.
I don't have a professional 78-rpm record player to test the disc (in order to know the content).
However, I own a small portable turntable, and I made recordings of both sides (I hope this help).
And fortunately both sides seems to be complete!

As far as I can tell concerning the audio and all the information there,
this acetate was made in order to promote the live performances of Johnny Hallyday and Sacha Distel in the Club Gimnasia Y Esgrima
(located in Rosario, Santa Fe / Argentina),
and it was used surely in some local radio station.
Apparently that live performance took place in 1966.
And it was supposedly sponsored by Coca-Cola.
This is certainly your unique chance to own this unique Hallyday-related disc
(his name was spelled wrong as JHONNY HOLLIDAY!!!!),
and most likely this was the only acetate ever manufactured in South America!
