If you are looking for a great copy of this - look no further! It's in very collectable condition.
First LP from the UK arranger. NOTE!! this is an original issue – NOT a reissue!
The record is excellent – hardly a mark. No scuffs or scratches. It plays fine with minimum of background in quiet parts.
The sleeve has minor laminate lift and small crease but no rips, splits or writing.
Originally a trumpet player with the big bands, Johnny was a member of a beat group The Shubdubs with drummer Jimmie Nicol and organist Roger Coulam. In 1964 he also made a Beatles cover version album and EP called "Beatlemania" with drummer Jimmy Nicol which resulted in Jimmy replacing the ill Ringo Starr on a worldwide Beatles tour.
Great psych tracks here...the percussion heavy "Stepping Stones" are especially excellent!!! This album contains some INDISPENSIBLE soundtrack funk with wild Roland Kirk-type flute, fuzz guitar & congas.
