Recorded October 9 & 17, 1963, this Impulse session features Johnny Hartman on vocals, Illinois Jacquet on tenor, Hank Jones on piano, Kenny Burrell and Jim Hall on guitar, Milt Hinton on bass and Elven Jones on drums. SIDE 1: CHARADE; IN THE WEE SMALL HOURS OF THE MORNING; SLEEPIN’ BEE; DON’Y YOU KNOW I CARE; KISS & RUN and IF I’M LUCKY. SIDE 2: I JUST DROPPED BY TO SAY HELLO; STAIRWAY TO THE STARS; OUR TIME; DON’T CALL IT LOVE and HOW SWEET IT IS TO BE IN LOVE. This is a STEREO recording.
I have graded both the vinyl and the record jacket as M- for the following reasons. The vinyl is clean of any marks. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole and the vinyl retains its original luster. The record jacket is in near mint condition with no real sign of wear. There are two very small ink smudges at the very top of the inside liner notes, There is no discoloration. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
