another top scorcher inna dis auction...one of the finest instrumentals ever to come out of Johnny Moore's golden trumpet...a legend of an instrumental and a musical splendour...and a fine rock-steady vocal by the little recorded Caribbeans...MEGA-RARE early sounds straight from Lloyd Daley's stable of advanced rock-steady...matrix # are FLD7531/7652...just scroll down and have a listen...
WAX condition: ex / ex, A-side shows hardly any surface marks, looks beautiful clean, B-side shows just a very few very light surface marks, NOT affecting the play, both sides play just great with full punch and pop-a-top sound build to delight....just listen!
LABEL condition: A-side shows just a light discoloration, otherwise perfect / B-side shows just a light discoloration (even lighter as on the A-side), otherwise perfect - watch the scan, please!
Something 'bout Sound + Vision: We shouldn't rely on visual appearance alone - therefore these records are graded after their visual appearance and their sound quality! I personally prefer a record with crackling but strong sound + punch to one playing clean but with surface noise from the pressing (as we find with re-pressed discs - too - often). Grading records is a very subjective thing but I try hard to be objective as a human being can be (yes indeed, this seller is a human being).
And that’s my Vinyl Grading Scale:
EX (= really great - EX means "excellent", really...)
VG (= nice, if you don't have an excellent one - by the way: VG means "very good"...)
G (= playable, but you might find a better one - G means "good", but this term may be a bit euphemistic to reggae-vinyl-novices. Be realistic: a record graded G doesn't jump nor stick, but that's the best I can say about it...)
P (= just a collection-filler for the hard-edged + hardest-boiled collectors + selectors + all the rudegals out there - P stands for "poor", yunno...)
