Description
For the JOK collector, this release is a little different. While the early Australian Leedon release featured 'One True Self' as the B-side, then released again in 1969 with 'She wears my ring' on the flip. The US Liberty release, where it was recorded, had 'It's too late' as the B-side. But this disc being offered is unusual in that it has 'Own True Self' as the B-side. I have no idea why that is. It is also a 'promotional' copy for radio & associated entertainment industry. So a massive contrast of Johnny O'keefe's range of styles, a bop bouncey rocker coupled with one of the slowest ballads Australia's early king of rock recorded. This is worthy of serious consideration.
'She's my baby' is in fairly great condition, but has been played a few times pretty lovingly. 'Own True Self' has a few scratches, but none that make it obvious on a playing we gave it,
