JOHNNY THUNDERS AND THE HEARTBREAKERS - 'Live At The Lyceum' ORIGINAL RECEIVER RECORDS RELEASE.
Up for grabs is this rare Original Live album by the fantastic Johnny Thunders.
The one and only Johnny Thunders a voice of our generation and incredible song writer, Johnny penned hundreds of great songs whether with the New York Dolls, The Heartbreakers or solo he was prolific in fact I would go as far as to say the man was a creative genius.
This classic album featuring a storming live set from the Heartbreakers recorded at the lyceum must have been a fantastic night, the atmosphere generated really sums up the grubby spirit of late 70's New York, with backup from Walter Lure, Billy Rath and fellow New York Doll Jerry Nolan it had no option other than being one of those Punk gigs about town that everyone now wishes they had been there to witness.
The songs performed that night are tight and delivered with the usual Thunders swagger each one a classic in it's own right, All by myself, Personality Crisis, One Track Mind and of course Born To Loose the ultimate kamikaze rocker that's been covered by many a punk rock star.
Item acquired within a large private punk collection I bought recently, lots more to list in the coming months so keep checking my listings.
Grab this while you can it's a treat for any big Thunders fan / collector, Original Receiver Records issue, everything looks in fantastic condition, light storage wear to outer sleeve only, record looks excellent.
