Description

On offer here is is the mega rare 7 inch single on Track Records by John's Children ,I believe the first single featuring the legendary Marc Bolan of T.Rex fame. What makes it rarer still,is that very few were sold with the picture sleeve which is present here. What makes it even more sought after is the condition NM/NM See below for details.By way of background information, this single was banned by the prudish BBC at the time run by May Whitehouse clones because of the lyrics in Desdemona,Lift up your skirts and fly, totally innocuous nowadays compared with some Rapping artists.
Labels
I would grade both labels side 1 and 2 as NM/NM They are brilliantly clean and bright with no writing on them, just a few faint spindle marks on side 2 which you can see if you peer closely but I am being picky in mentioning this. They are very hard to spot.
Vinyl
This is a superb copy, the best I have ever seen..Even under the strongest light I could not see any scuffs or scratches. Most  singles were played to death at parties on terrible players with singles loaded on top of each other and styli like knitting needles , not looked after but this is a welcome exception. .There are no repeating grooves,no dishing or warping and played flat on the turntable..The record played brilliantly throughout with vibrant sounds. .The album has been cleaned with a professional cleaning machine worth £1000s but in reality I did not need to pay the fee for this.I would grade the vinyl NM.I have played it through on a Linn Sondek player with Goldring cartridge. It is amazing for a record  nearly 50 years old.It has been really well looked after and maybe played less than half a dozen times The matrix numbers are A2-211 and B1-111 am not an expert on matrices but this seems to be the earliest possible. The record has a POC,Push out Centre still intact.Again I think but am not certain that most had solid centres.
Sleeve
This is the original card sleeve.with a picture of the band on the front and rear with a lady below asleep dreaming of something. The original price 7/4halfpennyd in old money about 40p now worth a lot in the 1960s.Below is written,It's a track record.I am not certain but may be less than 100 were pressed with the iconic sleeve. The record is valuable on its own but mega rare with the sleeve. On the rare occasion when I have seen these sleeves, they were usually stained defaced or torn because they are so fragile but not this one.I would grade as NM certainly EX+I doubt whether anyone could find a sleeve and record in better condition than this.Just look at the photographs taken from different angles.

Overall ,I do not think this rare single will disappoint any winning bidder and to give everyone a chance,I have deliberately set a low start price for the auction. It goes without saying that if anyone is disappointed,I offer a compromise or a full refund..Please contact me directly if there is a problem. If you are secretly happy, please do not contact me simply to negotiate a lower price than the amount bid. This defeats the purpose of ebay.
Postage
I offer free postage to U.K.buyers and will ship world wide.£5 for Europe,£10 for the rest of the world.I have in the past excluded certain countries such as Russia and the Ukraine. In Russia sadly parcels are held up at customs ,go missing or the item can take 10 to 12 weeks to be delivered.Buyers would need to be patient and accept the purchase at their own risk but I will send all items tracked and can email a copy of the tracking receipt.I know some sellers have stopped sending to certain countries such as anywhere in South America.
Payment
I refer PayPal in the U.K. but would accept a cheque or postal order.PayPal only for the rest of  the world.I do not have a facility to accept credit cards unless this is possible via PayPal.
