Music beyond description or definition -- one of Jon Lucien's legendary albums for RCA -- a true pinnacle in the generation of sophisticated 70s soul! The sound here is a unique blend that's never been heard before -- and hardly ever since, even though many have tried -- a complicated tapestry of jazz, soul, Latin, and Brazilian elements -- all served up with a sense of warmth and soul that are undeniable, and which gives the record a tremendous sense of personality. Arrangements are by Jon himself, but Dave Grusin also headed up the orchestra -- and does a beautiful job here as well, with some sweet electric touches that are right up there with his best 70s work. The record's got a huge amount of great tracks -- like "Ghetto Song", "Soul Chant", "When the Morning Comes", and "Prayer for Peace" -- and it stands as one of the best ones that Jon Lucien ever recorded! The Fine Print: All records are original US pressings unless otherwise noted. All records cleaned with a Nitty Gritty Machine & mailed in professional LP mailers, fillers, & poly bags. Records shipped outside of jacket to prevent seam damage. Most packages mailed out within 24 hours of payment received. Any audio snippets present were made from actual vinyl being sold. All payments must be received within 7 days from the ending date of the auction or the item will be re-listed. If you have any questions please ask before bidding. All sales final. Registration may be required on large international orders at an additional cost. All international orders weighing over 4 pounds must be shipped International Priority at an increased rate. Please note: registered mail is required for buyers shipping to Italy at an additional cost of $12.00 due to problems with the Italian postal system. GRADING:NM (Near Mint): Jackets may display some very light wear, vinyl may have a few light sleeve marks only visible in the highest light. Sound will full and clear with little if any noise.
VG+ (Very Good Plus): Still a great copy but has a bit more wear. Vinyl may have some light scuffs or scratches but nothing deep. Jacket may have some ringwear or seamwear. Sound should be great with minimal if any noise.
VG (Very Good): A great play copy but clearly used. Vinyl will display many hairline scuffs or scratches but will play with a tolerable amount of noise. Jacket may have splits and wear but will not be falling apart.
VG-/G: A record that has not been taken good care of. Will display scuffs, scratches, warps, and other defects. Will NOT skip unless otherwise noted, but will play with noise. Add me to your favorite sellers click here!
