Description
Very RARE 7" single by Jon Pertwee, Who Is The Doctor / Pure Mystery was released in 1972 on Purple Records, and made no impact on the charts despite several plays on Junior Choice on Radio 1 on weekends.
The labels on this disc were signed by Jon Pertwee in front of me when I interviewed him for Hospital Radio in May 1989, when he appeared in a Doctor Who play at the Bristol Hippodrome. When I asked him about the track he said he didn't like it!
The A Side, Who Is The Doctor has 'Jon Pertwee Doc No 3' written on it in silver pen.
The B Side, Pure Mystery just has his signature on it.
The record itself comes in a white cardboard sleeve. There apparently was a picture sleeve version available but I wasn't lucky enough to get one when I bought this one. The disc has a few light scratches on it but plays fine without sticking.
