This is an auction for a scarce jazz/folk album in extraordinary collectible condition. This album is an ultimate upgrade copy for Joni collectors. An outstanding example which has been stored in a protective outer sleeve, inside a purpose built cabinet for nearly 50 years. 

Joni Mitchell's best album - the last album on which she sang with her classic youthful voice, and a summation of all her songwriting skills. Nothing feels forced or formulaic - feelings are pouring out of her and she is simply using her guitar, piano and voice to capture them. Everything she does well is on display here: catchy melodies, multi-layered harmonies with herself, insights into her love and family life, and a playfulness that appeared all too rarely afterward. She coldly examines her relationship with show biz in the title song, and she lays open every ounce of her fierce ambition on "Judgement of the Moon and Stars." But she also floats a couple of airy confections with "You Turn Me On, I'm a Radio" and "Barangrill." Plus, there's a case to be made that "Cold Blue Steel and Sweet Fire" is the single greatest studio recording she ever made.(review: allmusic.com)

VINYL : EX++. The vinyl has barely been played and retains it deep glossy sheen. The whole record plays through nicely with stunning audio on my Project Debut deck with Ortofon cartridge with superb stereo separation. A great supreme vinyl which has been looked after and is totally an upgrade for any folk collector for this rarity. NO jumps or sticks, played through in its entirety, a very enjoyable experience.

Gatefold Sleeve: EX+/NM.  A lovely gatefold sleeve without any issues at all. This sleeve has lyrics on the inner cardboard page as well as art work by Joni. There are no creases and no tears. The spine is 100%. The edges are incredible without wear. The opening is super crisp. A very unusual sleeve as well where the vinyl is inserted from the central spine. This is an ultimate upgrade for this album.

VINYL TESTED FOR ANY SIGNS OF WARPING:

Yes, NONE visible what so ever when tested be sight and on a moving turntable. This is a rather heavy vinyl pressing.
