On offer here is a MEGA rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Joni Mitchell called "Joni Mitchell" and is a 1968 GENIUNE UK 'earliest' 1st Stereo pressing on the 1st Press '3 Colour' Reprise Label (and with other VERY important differences to ALL later pressings - even later 1969 pressings on the same label)!!!! THIS LP IS MEGA RARE IN THIS CONDITION - AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A 1968 'TRUE' 1ST PRESSING!!!!  'TRUE' 1968 1ST PRESSINGS OF THIS LP ARE VERY EASY TO IDENTIFY AND ARE VERY DIFFERENT TO ALL LATER PRESSINGS!!!!  I WILL EXPLAIN.  FIRSTLY THIS LP HAS A 1ST PRESS '3-COLOUR REPRISE' LABEL AND A 1ST PRESS 'STICKERED' COVER.  HOWEVER THIS 1ST PRESS LABEL AND COVER WERE PRESSED LIKE THIS FROM THE RECORDS RELEASE IN 1968 - RIGHT THROUGH TO EARLY 1970 WHEN THE LABEL WAS CHANGED TO THE 'TAN' REPRISE LABEL.  SO TO TRULY IDENTIFY A GENIUNE 1968 1ST PRESSING - THERE ARE 2 OTHER VERY IMPORTANT DETAILS THAT PLACE THIS LP AS A GENIUNE 1968 EARLIEST 1ST PRESSING (AND NOT A LATER PRESSING FROM 1969)!!!!  

FIRSTLY (AND MOST IMPORTANTLY) THERE ARE TWO STICKERS ON THE GATEFOLD COVER (SEE PICTURES) - AND THEY ARE IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STYLE TO ALL LATER STICKERS.  ALL OF THESE COVERS WERE IMPORTED FROM CANADA (THERE WERE NO UK COVERS) SO TO IDENTIFY A UK COVER, REPRISE PLACED TWO UK STICKERS ON THE COVER - COVERING THE U.S./CANADIAN CAT NUMBER WITH THE CORRECT UK CAT NUMBER.  HOWEVER - HERE LIES THE CRUCIAL DIFFERENCE!!!!  THE 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS COVERS HAD 2 STICKERS (LATER COVERS ONLY HAD ONE) AND IN A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STYLE TO ALL LATER COVERS!!!!  THERE WAS ONE STICKER ON THE INSIDE OF THE SLEEVE (COVERING THE U.S./CANADIAN CAT NUMBER) AND ONE ON THE OUTSIDE BACK RIGHT OF THE COVER (SEE PICTURES).  BUT NOT ONLY THAT - BUT THESE STICKERS ARE VERY DIFFERENT TO ALL LATER COVERS - AS THEY HAVE THE COMPLETE UK CAT. NUMBER "STEREO RSLP 6293" ON BOTH STICKERS.  OF COURSE THE MORE COMMON LATER COVERS ONLY HAVE 'STEREO & RSLP" AND ARE A DIFFERENT SHAPE.  THIS WAS PROBABLY A MONEY SAVING EXERCISE.  AFTER STICKERS STOPPED BEING PUT ON THE COVER BACK - THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THE COMPLETE CAT NUMBER - AND THIS IS WHY ALL LATER COVERS HAVE A DIFFERENT STYLE OF STICKER AND ONLY ONE ON THE INSIDE COVER.  THE SECOND IMPORTANT POINT WHICH INDICATES THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE 1ST PRESSING OF THIS LP - IS THE INNER SLEEVE!!!!  THE INNER SLEEVE FOR THIS LP IS THE UK 'REPRISE' CUSTOM GREEN INNER SLEEVE - WHEREAS ALL LATER PRESSINGS OF THIS LP HAVE A PLAIN WHITE INNER SLEEVE.  

WHILE THESE POINTS MAY SEEM MINOR TO SOME - I BELIEVE IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT TO IDENTIFY A 'TRUE' 1ST PRESSING FROM 1968.  THE 3 COLOUR REPRISE LABEL WAS IN PRINT FOR OVER A YEAR - AND JONI MITCHELLS POPULARITY GRADUALLY INCREASED THROUGHOUT THIS TIME.  SO FINDING A LATE 1969 PRESSING WITH THE SAME LABEL IS A LOT MORE COMMON - THAN THIS 'TRUE' 1968 1ST PRESSING WITH VERY IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES!!!!  THIS IS THE FIRST 'TRUE' 1ST PRESSING I HAVE SEEN FOR A VERY VERY LONG TIME AND WHILST LATER PRESSINGS ON THE SAME LABEL FROM 1969 OCCASSIONALLY TURN UP - THESE GENIUNE 1968 1ST PRESSINGS VIRTUALLY NEVER DO!!!! 

NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN STUNNING CONDITION AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO FIND LIKE THIS!!!!  THIS IS THE 1968 1ST STEREO PRESSING ON THE 1ST PRESS 3-COLOUR REPRISE LABEL, A-1 B-1 MATRIX ENDINGS, TWO UK 1ST PRESS STICKERS ON THE COVER, A 1ST PRESS REPRISE INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS DOUBLE STICKERED GATEFOLD COVER!!!!  THIS LP IS EXTREMELY RARE IN THIS CONDITION AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND AS A GENIUNE 1968 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESSING - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL UK 1st Stereo pressing from 1968 and is in STUNNING condition!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is RSLP 6293 on the 1st Press 3-Colour Reprise label (see picture) and is a 1968 UK 1st pressing!!!!  All the tracks are pure quality Joni Mitchell at her best!!!! Any fan of Joni Mitchell or 60s music in general, will want to have this in their collection!!!!

The record labels are in STUNNING condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a VERY few light spindle marks!!!!  The vinyl is in STUNNING condition!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and has NO scratches, NO hairlines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!!  ITS AS SIMPLE AS THAT!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK!!!! It is great to find that the record plays as STUNNINGLY as the visual with NO pops, NO jumps, NO sticks, NO hiss, and NO crackle!!!! There is NO groovewear either and NO distortion!!!!  The record must grade FULL Excellent if not better!!!!  Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press Reprise inner sleeve!!!!  The 'Earliest' 1st Press MEGA RARE Double 'Stickered' Gatefold Cover is in STUNNING condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour), only a VERY few light creases (Cover is VERY flat looking), barely ANY rubbing (MEGA rare on this cover), and NO writing!!!! There is also barely ANY yellowing on this cover - and that is INCREDIBLY hard to find!!!!  The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated inside is in STUNNING condition with NO writing, NO grubbyness, NO rubbing, and NO yellowing!!!! The cover must grade Excellent(Minus) if not better!!!! THIS LP IS MASSIVELY RARE IN THIS CONDITION - AND RARER STILL AS A GENIUNE 1968 'EARLIEST' 1ST PRESS!!!!  SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS MEGA RARE LP!!!!
