Description
Gymnosphere: Song of the Rose - Music For Well-Tuned Piano. Original pressing on the Unity label. Box is VG+ with tape and split corners like every copy I see (bums me out). Disc are both strong EX as usual. I love the box set version but they didn't quite know what they were doing and constantly mis-trimmed and mis-glued the f/b cover graphics. I often see the back slat stuck inside the box along with the booklet (as is the case with this copy) because it was just too much of a pain to glue it on! It's kinda ridiculous but still, it's probably the coolest version. I'm told he the artist recorded the source material at the Arch studios in Berkeley, then broadcasted the tapes inside the cavernous Grace Cathedral in S.F. and re-recorded that to get this ancient, ethereal sound.
