   Dance from "The Enchanter" / Rangoon rice carriers

        Original 10 inch 78 rpm record from around 1930 on UK Piccadilly 5078.

             Both sides of this very rare record are composed and played on pianoforte by J.Holbrooke.

Joseph Holbrooke was an English composer who was always at odds with the rest of the musical world in his day.  His work was generally overlooked at the time because it was so unusual.  There is much information about his life and work on Wikipedia. 

There are also various discographies including 78rpm releases on different internet sites but I could not find this particular record listed on any of them.

Condition :-

                 Record     VG+  couple of light marks, plays and sounds EX.      In original sleeve.

    Records graded as follows :-

  Mint     (New, unplayed.)                         Near mint     (Record barely played, no wear or marks.)

   EX     (A well cared for record, maybe a couple of surface / hairline marks, played up to 10 times, no serious audible wear.)

   VG     (More surface marks and some light scratches, some audible wear, played maybe up to 30 times, no deep scratches.)

    G      (Surface marks and deeper scratches that click, well played with audible wear, record still plays without mistracking.)

    Covers graded as follows :-

  EX+    (As new)                      EX   (Maybe one light crease)          VG+ / VG   (2-4 creases, light ringwear)

      VG -  (more creasing and maybe writing or scuffs / heavier ringwear.    No tears unless stated)
