Description
My eBay name is 'punky_music' and I'm a full-time record dealer since nearly 30 years
As you know only original first pressings were born in a TEXTURED SLEEVE. Two slightly different pressings of this wonderful JOY DIVISION single were made. One with A1 / B1 matrix number etched in the run-out grooves and this one with A2 / B1 matrix number. That means this is an original pressing on black vinyl, released in 1979. This version is the George Peckham re-cut with additional etchings on the matrix. George better known as Porky, as in Porky Prime Cut, the famous British laquer-cutting and mastering engineer. Pressed on the ‘Factory’ label (catalogue number FAC 23). The opener on the A-side is the wonderful ‘Transmission’. A very melancholic track. The perfect record if you want to commit suicide. The equally brilliant flip is entitled ‘Novelty'. Both tracks were produced by the late, great Martin Hannett....and what a brilliant job he did. Don’t miss this British all-time classic. The sleeve shows soft handling wear otherwise the condition is:

Mailing / Versand: all records will be sent in plain white 7“ sleeves outside of the picture sleeves to avoid any seam splits (alle Platten werden in einer neutralen weißen 7“ Hülle außerhalb des Plattencovers verschickt, um Beschädigungen am Originalcover zu vermeiden). All records will be shipped in special record mailers. Two cardboard paddings (the best) will be used to avoid bending. Ebenso werden alle Platten entsprechend stabil in speziellen Schallplatten-Versandkartons mit zwei dicken Pappkartons verpackt.
