FACT 25 JULY 1980 1st pressing
Establishing the first pressing credentials of this incredible copy of this monumental LP is firstly.....
The blood red translucent colour when the LP is held to the light, in this case the sun.
and secondly....
OLD BLUE? in written text and FACT 25 A1, stamped, into the run off of side 1
and....
FACT 25 B-1 written into the run off of side 2.
In outstanding condition throughout, if you are looking for a collector's copy this HAS to be the one, the vinyl on side 1 is M- with just the faintest traces of withdrawal marks and spindle marks. Side 2 looks even better with one very light hairline 4mm line across the end of the last track. I have played the LP throughout (just to say goodbye!) and it sounds PERFECT throughout.
The inner sleeve is of course textured and is in near PRISTINE condition with perfect colour and just the very faintest trace of record indentation around the bottom of the sleeve-incredible!!
The cover is a fabulous M- with none of the usual light fading associated with this fragile release. There are literally one of two infinitesimal ghost like creases on the edges, completely invisible unless it is inches from you face, apart from that there are NO creases, spine bands, bends, signs of shelf wear, corner wear. The only imperfections a very, very, very pale mark in the top right corner to the front and two thin pale lines, around a quarter of an inch long, floors in the manufacturing printing process, where the colour has not taken and very, very mild ring wear to the right hand side. Apart from that it's perfect!!!!!
Do not let this opportunity go by, Emilysrecords has sold numerous copies of this LP and this is by far and away THE BEST we have ever seen!!!!!!!!!
This record comes from my own collection. Unless it is mint it has been played on a properly balanced Fonz CQ30 deck with a fresh Shure VN-35 diamond stylus, going through an Audiolab 8000A (highly recommended!). All that comes out of a superb pair of B&W cabinet speakers. It has always been cherished and well taken care of and it has always been stored upright in a PVC protector cover.I include details of any blemishes there may be to the cover, inner sleeve (if present) and to the vinyl. As you will see from my feedback I am used to selling vinyl and other collector’s items on Ebay. I am well aware that detailed descriptions are essential.
I welcome inspection before the end of the auction and encourage buyers to collect from me in Bournemouth, Dorset.
All LPs are sent out in purpose built cardboard Record Mailers to minimise the risk of damage in the post.
