Description
Available here is a 12” vinyl record by Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart b/w These Days & Love Will Tear Us Apart. Rather rare in this form, this is the 1983 New Zealand GAP Records incarnation, with the catalogue number FAC XXIII XII.
Synopsis - This release is described on Discogs as a "Green Man" release (also referred to as "Green Shadow" in some quarters. Such releases are notable for the appearance of their printed green inner record labels and are widely believed to have been industry promotional copies or first pressing test copies from the then new GAP New Zealand company. Released with two slightly different sleeves, this one has a flat matt appearance. As such copies in this form are very scarce and collectible.

Vinyl Condition - Very Good+ - The record is reasonably bright and clean - no worrying scratches although a few light surface marks will be spotted. I’ve listened all the way through and can confirm that there are no jumps, sticking or loud clicks to either side. The first side has excellent sound quality, while the second exhibits a little background crackle/noise at times but nothing that might be considered loud or excessive.
Cover Condition - Very Good - Original printed sleeve which is not overly substantial in thickness, so there are various signs of wear - light creasing, corner/edge rubbing and minute nicks to the top edge. I believe that it was issued without an inner but I've added an external plastic sleeve in order to offer protection.
