Description
Up for sale is a genuine, highly collectible UK first pressing of Joy Division’s definitive masterpiece, Love Will Tear Us Apart, released on Factory Records in June 1980. This is the sought-after CBS Aston Clinton contract pressing, manufactured using the earliest master plates right at the song's initial release window.
VINYL CONDITION: VG+ (Very Good Plus)
The vinyl retains a beautiful factory gloss. Under bright light, it shows only a few faint hairline sleeve whisps that do not affect playback. It plays brilliantly with strong, punchy audio, crisp synths, and Peter Hook’s driving bassline fully intact. Minimal, normal surface quietness in the run-ins. Labels are clean with no writing or rips.

An original, textured matte Peter Saville picture sleeve featuring the iconic Staglieno cemetery artwork. The sleeve remains stiff with sharp edges, no seam splits, and no spine wear. The reverse side has normal light age-toning. It features a neat, tiny, round punch hole in the top-left corner—a classic 1980s distributor/promo mark that adds a unique bit of industry history to this specific copy.
