MEDUSA

This is an excellent example of the Joy Division Sordide Sentimental re-issue MEDUSA label released in the early 1980s. A very limited edition. The original black label single was pressed and released in France in 1979.

This is the original Medusa. Engraved on the records run out grooves is SS 33 00 2. The 7 inch single is black vinyl with the Medusa head label.

This re-issue I bought at the beginning of the 80s and it is nowadays almost as rare and difficult to find as the original. A very important collectors item. Although it is approx 25 years old both the cover and single have always been kept in a plastic protector sleeve and are in excellent condition.

I would rate the cover and single as NM - darn close to new.

A side - Atmosphere 4.09 mins.
B side - Dead Souls 4.53 mins

The photograph on the sleeve is from Anton Corbijn and the cover painting is from Jean- Francois Jamoul. Printed on beautiful heavy paper stock.

A very rare and rather beautiful collectors item.
