Description
This is the US press of Joy Division’s Unknown Pleasures on LP. It is the smooth cover version (not the textured cover). It was released October 1980 through Factory Records and is labeled as “FACTUS 1.”
This seminal album is from the original release run and is not a re-released version (through Quest, WEA/Rhino, or other). The weight of the vinyl is the regular format, not a 180-gram version.
It is in EXCELLENT to VERY GOOD condition.
Here are notes on the condition (see pix for visual details):
FRONT COVER
There is a very minor vinyl ring/imprint on the cover.
BACK COVER
There are some scratch-like impressions in the middle section.
COVER CORNERS
There are some instances of fraying in parts of the corners.
VINYL
There are very minor surface scuffs, none of which affect playback.
SPINE
There are some instances of fraying in sections of the spine.
INNER SLEEVE
The vinyl has cut through a small section of the bottom of the middle sleeve.

The matrix/runout is “Variant 2” with the following etchings:
