Description
Owned from new in 1979, and carefully stored for many years. Play tested and sounds great.
Record is EX/EX+. sleeve VG+, inner sleeve VG.
Textured sleeve has light wear - see pics. Small scratch on rear cover and very light ring wear to front and back; good corners and minimal edge wear. Inner sleeve has some 'foxing' marks - common with this item; it has the rounded corners of the 1st issue.
Tranco pressing . On Discogs they list all the variants, and this copy seems to match the 2nd variant - UK 1979 (Tranco pressing - but not a 'translucent red' one). The exact matrix on this is - black label - FACT 10 OUTSIDE 1B THIS IS THE WAY white label - FACT 10 INSIDE 1A STEP
This has all the features that identify an original first press: Textured sleeve, with original die-cut inner sleeve that has rounded corners and notched opening; Elevated 'double dip' outer ring around labels; No barcode on sleeve; Matrix text and numbers as above; The text on the deadwax area is 'INSIDE A' and 'OUTSIDE B' - this was a mistake at the pressing plant as the 'OUTSIDE' is really side 1 (therefore should have been A).
