Up for auction I have a UK original TRANSLUCENT 1st week pressing of Joy Division's legendary debut album Unknown Pleasures released on Manchesters Factory Records.Catalogue number is Fact 10. This MUST be the best copy ever offered on Ebay as it looks just like it was purchased fresh from the record shop way back in 1979. The heavily textured sleeve is in amazing shape with the corners all crisp and sharp despite,as you know,it's flimsy nature. The rounded inner sleeve shows very little signs of wear indeed.The vinyl is in just fantastic near mint condition.On playback the quiet passages are just beautiful,silent and eery,just how it's meant to be. I really cannot stress the high end quality of this item in more glowing terms. It is the ULTIMATE final upgrade of Unknown Pleasures.Copies with the heavily textured outer and rounded inner sleeve coupled with the TRANSLUCENT vinyl are becoming increasingly scarce.

Remember note that the vinyl DOES show up reddish/purple when held up to the light.These copies are becoming near impossible to locate. It does have the very early "This Is The Way" and "Step" etchings (taken from the track Atrocity Exhibition,a song that would appear on Joy Divisions Closer lp) on the run out indicating a very early 1979 Factory Records press.

I have been selling Joy Division items on ebay for a number of years now and unlike many, I do know the difference in pressings. It is confusing, but rest assured when I sell a 1st press it indeed is a 100% original  UK 1st press.
