RARE, very first UK MONO pressing of Johann Sebastian Bach`s "Orchestral Suites 3 & 4", released on Decca Records (1962). Featuring the Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Karl Münchinger.
GRADING:
EX++ to MINT- COVER, in near-impeccable condition. Please see the photos for details.
- Original front-laminated UK first pressing sleeve with "flipback" edges.
- Small store sticker on back cover (at top right). This should be removable with care.
- The spine has a few very light creases.
- Light corner bend, only visible from rear (at bottom left).
- Hardly any other visible signs of wear and difficult to come by like this nowadays.
- Also includes the original inner sleeve in EX condition.
MINT- RECORD with very few signs of previous play.
- Absolutely peerless audio reproduction throughout.
- A few light hairlines, mostly from sleeve removal. Without exception, these are absolutely inaudible.
- Untarnished matt black Decca labels that show no spindle wear at all.
- The matrix stamps in the run-off grooves read "ZAL-5318-1E" and "ZAL-5319-1E", thereby denoting a UK first pressing.
PLEASE NOTE: Not to be compared with the more-often-than-not substandard vinyl on offer on eBay, this item is in honestly-graded EX++ to MINT- condition: You will not find another copy of "Orchestral Suites 3 & 4" as nice as this one - especially at this bargain price. "True value for money" is the motto here!
