Condition/grading: I use the Goldmine scale and grade conservatively. I am very particular about condition in my own collecting as well as with all media I sell. I do not use M for any open item (M is only used for sealed items), and use NM only when it is clearly appropriate. I primarily grade visually under two kinds of bright raking light. Some titles are play-graded or “spot” play-graded to assess surface noise. If needed, vinyl is dusted with a Hunt EDA carbon-fiber brush, some are cleaned with a Nitty Gritty cleaner, and some high-value items receive an additional cleaning using the Last system. My feedback includes many positive comments about the accuracy and conservatism of my grading and condition descriptions. In a nutshell: I don’t sell junk and I generally know what I’m talking about.

Packing: All LPs ship in proper record mailers, with additional padding, and vinyl outside of cardboard jacket to prevent seam-splits. If it seems necessary, I replace plain paper or worn sleeves with DiscKeeper sleeves or better (original inners, if present, are always retained). Single/double LPs ship with poly sleeves. If needed, box sets include additional padding to ensure that vinyl does not move in shipping. Other media will be packed equally safely.

Shipping: In the United States, everything ships Media Mail at flat rates, as follows: (1) $4 for single LPs; (2) $5 for double LPs and smaller/lighter box sets; (3) $6-8 for most box sets. Very heavy box sets may incur additional shipping charges. The flat fees help me to recoup some of the packing expenses.

International shipping is generally via USPS First Class International. Please note: shipping costs can vary country-to country so non-US buyers should wait for an invoice before paying. Also note: USPS First Class international rates have increased greatly in recent years, and in some cases shipping may be higher than the value of the item. Please take this into account when bidding. See shipping exclusions.

Returns: I accept returns but generally do so only if the item has been inadvertently mis-represented in the listing.
