I have 16 private pressings up for auction (ending on Sunday 2nd December) and many have sound files or links to Youtube. A fair number are from my own collection.

Incredible and original outsider fuzz monster from the uber obscure punk legend Henry H. Timmis IV, a semi reclusive figure who suffered spells in an asylum, drug addiction, alcoholism and a tragically early death at the age of 40 in complete obscurity.

"Timmis was born in 1961 in Warren, Pennsylvania, and
spent part of his childhood in Athens, Ohio. His parents separated and his
mother brought him to Chicago, but Timmis's problems weren't over. He'd run
away several times before his mother committed him to the Menninger Clinic
in 1976-as she thought he might be schizophrenic.

Between leaving Menninger a year or so later and ditching Chicago for good,
Timmis moved around a lot-Evanston, Winnetka, Harwood Heights, Northbrook,
East Rogers Park. He worked on several projects that combined insanity and
accessibility in varying ratios, including the 85-hour film The Cure for
Insomnia, according to Guinness the world's longest; but his greatest passion seems to have been
music.

Timmis liked to act as though he were already a star: he'd videotape himself
singing along to his own songs and hire musicians to play live shows with
him and film them for concert movies. But he never seems to have made a
sustained attempt to win an audience larger than a few friends, and even
when he recorded in a proper studio his music had a rough-around-the-edges
DIY feel. Often he simply gave his records away.

Timmis’s brutal honesty makes his songs highly compelling. Though he may have thought that the character his songs portrayed was a fiction, his own antisocial tendencies, reinforced by an unhappy stay in a sanitarium (chronicled in the songs “In the Can” and “Out of the Can”), show that he was actually revealing quite a bit about his inner demons. “Destructo Rock,” a 7-minute fuzz epic, is particularly unsettling, as it recounts a homicidal/suicidal fantasy. One begins to wonder if JTIV’s performing persona took over and erased whatever residue of his private personality existed. That he did so in utter obscurity, often performing (and filming himself) in front of a few close pals and folks he had hired rather than in front of fans, makes the whole affair seem even more deranged—and intriguing.

Timmis left town in the late 80s, moving first to Athens and then to rural Pennsylvania, but
nobody seems to know much about those years. Timmis died
in 2002, at the age of 40, from complications related to alcoholism."

The record is in vg++ condition with plenty of its original sheen and just the odd ultra light scuff and the odd very short line. It seems to have hardly been played, most likely it has been left unsleeved for a while (it came from a soul collection). There are certainly no feelable marks,no warp and no writing on either label. About as good as you'll ever find for a single that can be counted in just a handful of known copies.

Our grading is strict so as not to disappoint, we have been selling on ebay since 1998 and know how important this is. Grading of records is done with the record angled under two 50 watt halogen bulbs. Pictures are of actual item up for auction.

All records are packed securely and most importantly packed outside of the picture sleeve (in a plain inner sleeve) so as to avoid seam splits during shipping.

Near Mint
Almost mint. Very minor paper scuffs and very little else can appear on the vinyl. This will most likely have occurred during packaging, or removing the record from the inner sleeve but obviously it had been handled with extreme care. Any flaw should be very hard to see. The cover should look as close to perfect with only minor signs of wear and/or age. Minor impressions to the cover (due to the outer edge of the vinyl resting inside) may be acceptable, however the artwork should be as close to perfect as can be.

Excellent
An excellent condition for vinyl will allow minor scuffs (Scuffs lay on top of the grooves) which are visible but only slightly.The wear should be minimal.The play should be close to perfect as well. Some impression to the cover (minor outer ring wear) but no ink wear. Some slight creases to the corners, but not wrinkled and obtrusive to the eye. The corners can show a little white, meaning slight wear. No seam splits or writing on the cover or taped repairs.

VG++
As Excellent but with a larger number of scuffs, maybe a couple of hairlines (very light scratch that can't be felt) or a couple of marks. Sound quality should still be very close to that of an Excellent record with only minor crackle in quiet segments only, NO scratches that can be felt. Cover as Excellent but there may be a small seam split on the cover, or a very minimal amount of writing like a name written in small writing or a number. A VG++ record should be an acceptable record to live with if you aren't looking to pay the price of a Near Mint copy.
