Description
This 78 rpm record is on Jubilee Gospel Singer label but based on look I wonder if not recorded at Gennett Studios. Record says Muncie, Indiana and made for the artist (Muncie stones throw from Richmond, IN.
This is listed as 20104 and both sides by R. C. Garner. Side A is I'm On My Way To Heaven, an instrumental only on the Steel Guitar. Side B is You,re Going To Leave The Old Home Jim, listed as Vocal and Guitar. Forgive me if I pick the wrong genre for these recordings. Wasn't sure true gospel or country blues or combo?
Record is not cracked or chipped. Does show wear from use and storage. Side A you can see wear something stuck to label and smudge the area. Both sides play with no skipping or sticking. Background noise ever present but Side A sounds much better. Side B little hard to here words early but improves as song progress's. Could probably use much more thorough cleaning.
(Recorded tested on my Jensen portable with 78 specific needle)
Any questions please check before bidding. Packaging will be as cardboard sandwich in larger box with packing peanuts.
