JUDY GARLAND AT CARNEGIE HALL – Live Recording from April 23, 1961 – Capitol SWBO-1561 (Stereo) Deluxe Limited Edition 2 Disc Boxed Set w/Photo and Letter. Discs are VG++ (Playback is Near Mint – there are a few scuffs on the vinyl that do not affect playback, otherwise discs would be graded Near Mint); Labels are VG+; Box is VG+; Paper Inner Sleeves are VG/VG+; B&W Photo of Judy is Near Mint; Letter from Capitol’s Alan Livingston is Near Mint.
This is the Original, 1st Edition Boxed Set featuring the April, 1961 Carnegie Hall show (see letter), and probably possesses different performances from the subsequent and more common gatefold set featuring the July show. It is rare and sought after by Judy’s vinyl fans, yet the opening price here is affordable and less than usually asked. All vinyl records from VinylKing46 (eBay’s ORIGINAL VINYLKING) are pre-cleaned and inserted into paper inner sleeves before mailing to Buyer. Discs are packaged separately from LP sleeve to protect against seam splitting. LP jackets are inserted into poly outer sleeves and albums are shipped in LP-specific boxes and packed with bubble wrap.
