What a gorgeous album!..Henske's powerful,almost Gothic vocals on an eclectic range of fine melodic songs climaxing with the frenzied title track..More than a hint of substance abuse on this one!...Back up musicians include Zal Yanovsky,David Lindley,Solomon Feldthouse,Ry Cooder,Eddie Hoh,Bernie Krauss and Jerry Scheff.
An overlooked masterpiece!
A very poor seller when it was issued...Copies in ANY condition are tough to find..
Issued on Straight in 19769 STS 1852..Uk pressing in stereo.. A1/B1 matrix numbers..
Visually the record looks a very strong EX with no scratches or scuffs..Strong light confirms this grading revealing nothing more..Play grade is easily EX+ with no audio defects..The sound quality is really good with clean separation of instruments and a bright clean sound..
The labels are undamaged and clean with absolute minimal spindle wear...
The non laminated gatefold sleeve (made by E.J.Day) has been taped around all the edges..Some of the tape is still there,some of it has fallen off over the years leaving brown stains..The edges are worn as are the corners..The spine shows heavy rubbing with no text being legible...The top of the back flap of the gatefold has split nearly all of the way along...The pictures should make all this clear but get in touch if you meed any more info..
