Description
Artist: JULIE LONDON
Title: “Make Love to Me”
Label: LIBERTY # LRP-3060. Monaural first pressing on medium weight vinyl. Label is turquoise with silver text, with deep groove.
Year: 1957
Personnel: Julie London, with Russ Garcia & his Orchestra.
Condition:
DISC: NEAR MINT with 100% of original gloss, a solid “10” out of ten. Appears to have been played one or two times at most, and handled with care. Labels are clean. Fidelity is superb. A gorgeous disc you will never need to upgrade.
JACKET: Jacket is nice VG++ with no major issues. Front panel is clean and bright, with only a few slight scuff marks around the edges. Seams are intact except for a minor split at bottom center, approximately 3 inches. Reverse has darkened slightly around the edges, due to age. No writing or stickers. Overall a very presentable jacket to accompany the outstanding disc.

Review: “Julie London's concise and melodic versions of standards were quite popular during the latter half of the 1950s. Her subtle sensuality and lightly swinging style made for a potent combination. This album (which has not yet reappeared on CD) matches London's voice with an orchestra arranged by Russ Garcia on standards and a couple of newer tunes, including Bobby Troup's "It's Good to Want You Bad." Among the more memorable selections are "If I Could Be With You," "Alone Together," "I Wanna Be Loved" and "You're My Thrill."
