JULY – July. Guerssen Records GUESS 080. Spanish release. FACTORY SEALED NEW VINYL RECORD ALBUM. Originally issued in 1968. This edition issued in 2011. Pressed on 180g vinyl with an old style heavy jacket with the flaps glued to the outside (as was the style of late 60s UK record jackets) reproducing the original art work. Includes a 4-page insert with loads of photos and extensive liner notes by David Wells. Also includes a reproduction of the rare original full color promo poster. MEMBERS:  Tom Newman, Chris Jackson, Alan James, Tony Duhig, and John Field. TRACKS:  My Clown, Dandelion Seeds, Jolly Mary, Hallo To Me, You Missed It All, The Way, To Be Free, Move On Sweet Flower, Crying Is For Writers, I See, Friendly Man, and A Bird Lived. DESCRIPTION:  One of the all-time great UK psych albums—originally issued on the Major Minor label in the UK, and on Epic in the USA, in 1968. There's no way to overstate the excellence of this album, with it's eerie psych style (check out, for example, Dandelion Seeds and Hallo To Me), Indian-influenced chord sequences,  heavily reverb-laden vocals,  plus expert studio trickery (tape loops/phasing, etc.) of uncommon brilliance from producer/solo artist Tom Newman, and future Jade Warriors Tony Duhig and John Field; becomes more of a classic with each passing year. All LPs are removed from their jackets and placed outside of the jacket for shipping. If an album comes sealed (and will be noted as such in the above description), it will be shipped whole unless you request that I open it up to place the disc outside of the jacket for shipping. Both jacket and disc are placed inside of an outer plastic sleeve before packing for shipping. I use professional corrugated record mailers.

SS or SLD:  Still Sealed or Sealed (or some variation of sealed depending on how many characters I have left in the title line). This item is new and unplayed. Also appears in the listing description as Sealed LP or Factory Sealed LP.

NEW LP:  This item is new and unplayed, but was received from a supplier without being shrink wrapped or cellophane wrapped; more common on imports but also many of the smaller independent US labels do not seal their LPs.

MIX:  This sometimes appears in my title line and refers to a group's/artist's music having a mix of styles such a rock track with jazz then followed by a straight rock track followed by a psych rock track, etc., as opposed to a blues album with the album's tracks having predominantly one style.

All US packages are shipped via eBay's USPS processing and include tracking.

RETURN POLICY:

Please e-mail me with specific details and I will get back to you with your options. I ask that if there is a problem with the item that you contact me as soon as possible after receiving it. Any item that must be returned is done so at the buyer’s expense; damage and defective returns will be re-embursed upon receipt of the return item. Any refund, exchange, or substitution/credit will be at the buyer’s choice, but not made until the original item is received back by me; in the condition as stated in the item description. 

NON-ARRIVAL OF PACKAGES:

US Customers:  Please wait at least two weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. All packages are shipped with confirmation/tracking, you will received an automatically generated shipping notice from Ebay with your tracking number. It is rare that I’ve had a package not make its US destination, so risk is minimal. The most often cuase of delayed receipt of a package in the US is due to the tracking number of the package not being scanned in at its point of origin (it gets tossed in with regular first class mail), or, less often, at some point along its transit route.

INTERNATIONAL Customers:  Please wait at least 3 weeks from my confirmed shipping date before contacting me about the non-arrival of your package. If security is your concern please have your package registered. I do my best to quickly post packages, but once the package is in the hands of the world’s postal system it is beyond my control. With First-Class Package International Service my only option for investigating the loss of your package is to verify that it left this country to its destination country. Once in the destination country any inquiry on a package must be made by the receiving customer. Most all delayed/lost packages have disappeared/been delayed after they have reached their destination country.
