Jack Costanzo & Tubby Hayes - Equation In Rhythm

(Fontana TFL 5190 UK LP 1962)


This is a UK original Mono LP pressing. It has a heavyweight front laminated flipback sleeve. It has its original generic polythene-lined company paper inner sleeve.  The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has textured black & silver "Fontana" labels. A genuine UK Mono 1st pressing of this excellent early 1960's Latin-Afro-Jazz/ UK Jazz LP. These are no too common.


Sleeve: There is mild, more moderate or moderate rubbing wear to the corner tips. There is a very tiny 0.5 cm seam split at the bottom sleeve opening corner tip. There is light, mild or more moderate rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges. There is mild to more moderate fading to the "white" of the rear sleeve. There are a couple of small bits of rubbing wear on the top edge. The spine is in reasonable overall condition. The spine text is clearly legible. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear. Overall, Very Good condition

Vinyl: There are some light, mild or very mild sleeve rubs which can only be seen under a strong light. There is one small finger-tip sized surface rub mark, or pressing mark, on Side 1. There is one 2.5 cm light surface hairline rub mark on Side 1. The inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild or very mild dull surface marks on some areas. These, again, can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in Near Excellent condition & show mild or very mild spindle wear only. The company inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.

I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall. There is some light, mild or very mild crackle in some quieter places. Overall, a very reasonable audio copy.
