Description
JACKIE McLEAN & JOHN JENKINS - ALTO MADNESS, Prestige 7114, 446 W. 50th St on labels, 447 W 50th St on jacket, deep groove pressing, RVG in dead wax.
On this 1957 recording, the musicians are Jackie McLean, John Jenkins (alto sax), Wade Legge (piano), Doug Watkins (bass), Art Taylor (drums). The tunes are Alto Madness, Windy City, The Lady Is a Tramp, Easy Living, Pondering.
Condition of record is V, scuffy surface, 2 scratches. 1 inch scratch on side A track 1, 1/2 inch scratch at beginning of side B. Both play with clicks, but played through without skipping on our equipment. Overall the record plays well with some surface noise. Ordinarily we do not list records in this condition, but original pressings of this record are so rare that we are making an exception. Laminated jacket shows some overall wear, 3 inch seam split top right, 2 inch seam split at top of spine.

V = Very Good. Noticeable wear, visual and audible. Records with slight surface noise and/or scuffs fall into this category.
G = Good. Not really all that good. Records in this category have more significant damage or wear.
F = More severe damage, distracting surface noise. Only used in incidence of extreme rarity.
P = Poor condition, proves existence of record only.
