Up for auction is an original 1964 Blue Note Stereo P-press of Jackie McLean's timeless quintet session, "Destination Out". Recorded in fall 1963, just five months after the recording of "One Step Beyond" (with the same front line - McLean, Moncur, and Hutcherson), this lp is probably a wee bit more accessible than its' predecessor. ESSENTIAL early 60s avant garde jazz that cannot be overstated in the influence that it imparted on the jazz realm. PLEASE READ PLAY GRADE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY.          

DEAD WAX INFO:  Side 1 has BNST 84165-A etched, and VAN GELDER and STEREO stamped into the dead wax. Side 2 has BNST 84165-B etched, and VAN GELDER and STEREO stamped into the dead wax. Both sides have the Plastylite "P" etched into the dead wax. Early 60s press with deep groove on Side 1 only.   VINYL VISUAL: VG overall with Side 1 rating G+ because of a needle scratch (see 4th picture), and Side 2 rating VG+ and better with very minor marking and one press residue flaw. Some label fading on Side 2, probably from careless cleaning.
VINYL PLAY GRADE:  VG overall and VG+ and better for 3/4 of the album (FANTASTIC fidelity overall). The opener "Love and Hate" has a long needle scratch and a couple of associated shorter needle scratches that cause moderate ticking for most of the song. The remaining 3 tracks on the lp play to at least VG+. The Side 2 opener has a minor press residue flaw (it is visible in the 9th picture - just left of the small light glare). This causes 5 VERY LOW thuds that are barely audible over the end of Hutcherson's vibe solo. I had to play this twice to confirm this.       
COVER VISUAL: VG with some general rubbing and fading and grubbiness on this very white cover. The spine reads fine, and there is some chipping starting on other seams. Overall pretty nice.    
Comes with original Blue Note branded 25 Years paper inner (VG+). The vinyl is housed in an Audiophile style plastic inner.   DETAILS ON SELLER AND SHIPPING

I HAVE MADE FAR TOO MANY PURCHASES ON EBAY WHERE THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED WITH DINGED CORNERS DUE TO INADEQUATE PACKAGING MATERIAL. BY USING FOLDED BUBBLE WRAP IN ALL FOUR CORNERS, YOU CAN BE ASSURED OF AN ITEM WITHOUT DINGED CORNERS (OR DAMAGE OF ANY KIND FOR THAT MATTER).             Non-tracked shipping throughout the U.S.A will be $13 CANADIAN per item, as will tracked shipping within Canada. Tracked shipping to the U.S.A. will be $16 CANADIAN for items under 500g, and slightly more for items over 500g. Most single sleeve items can be shipped as under 500g. Gatefolds and multi-sets will be over 500g. 
Being a reasonable person, I will be absorbing ALL of the shipping material cost, and some of the actual postage cost.

IF ANYONE OUTSIDE OF NORTH AMERICA IS CRAZY INTERESTED IN ANY ITEM, I WILL QUOTE SHIPPING ON REQUEST.
