Original mono pressing with 47 West 63rd - NYC address on center label. Deep groove on both sides, RVG and "ear" mark in dead wax. Record has several light scuffs and a couple of short light scratches. Side one has 3 loud clicks less than a minute into the first track but the remainder of the side plays cleanly with only an occasional light click. Side two has a number of very light clicks for the first minute of the first track and random light clicks on the remainder of the side. The music is clear throughout and the record has no groove distortion. Glossy cover has a 1 inch tear near the lower quarter of the right edge, minor impact to bottom of spine, 1/2 inch clip off the bottom left corner of the back cover (back cover only), a name and some scribble at the top of the back cover and a light stain at the bottom of the back cover. Front cover appears very nive and the small tear is barely noticeable.
Superb session with Jackie Mac joined by Donald Byrd, Sonny Clark, Pual Chambers and Philly Joe Jones on Quadrangle, Blues Inn and Fidel. The remaining tracks, Appointment In Ghana, A Ballad For Doll and Isle Of Java feature McLean with Blue Mitchell, Tina Brooks, Kenny Drew Paul Chambers and Art Taylor.

We do not play grade MOST of our records so we guarantee our visual grading with a money back guarantee that includes shipping. If we do play grade a record, we will let you know about any noise in detail in our description. Generally, we do not list records below EX- condition unless it is exceptionally rare. We do not recommend audiophiles bid on records in less than NM- condition. Our grading standard is as follows.
Mint is only used for sealed records or records that we are certain have never been played.
Near Mint or NM is for the most part as good as it gets! No marks and will play clean with no noise unless inherent in the pressing.
EX+ Will generally have one or two minor flaws, but will overall be near mint.
EX or Excellent will have light surface marks and some background noise.
EX- Overall an Excellent copy with light surface marks, but with something that distracts, like a small scratch that makes a few pops.
VG+ Consistent background noise, pops but should not skip or stick. Still a playable copy.
VG has many problems. Noise will dominate. May have quite a few pops and possibly a skip.
VG- Will likely have a skip or two and will be very noisy.
G = Our lowest grade and is actually a poor record.
