The vinyl on this very rare record is very good - graded VG++. The cover is excellent with good construction, gloss, corners and edges.   The cover does have some minor edge wear, the worst being along the bottom.  But, the bottom seam is intact, though there are two spots were the seam is beginning the separate, half an inch in one spot and maybe one and a half in another.  There is some staining on the upper front left, which should be visible in the picture.  Over all a nice package.

Lonely Teardrops turned out to be something of a pivotal single for Jackie Wilson. A single that would top the R&B chart and make the Top Ten pop, it was one of the last tracks written for Jackie by Berry Gordy and Billy Davis before there was a parting of the ways owing to royalty disputes. Whilst Berry Gordy went on to claim his own place in music history, things still happened for Jackie Wilson. Lonely Teardrops became something of a signature tune for the man dubbed Mr Excitement, largely based on his stagecraft. Indeed, his live work would go on to inspire the likes of Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson, both of whom acknowledged their debt to Jackie Wilson. This album, originally issued on Brunswick in 1959, failed to chart yet shows the sheer diversity of material that Jackie was prepared to tackle.

VG+   The album will show some slight signs of wear, light scuffs, very light scratches, that may affect the listening experience, especially at low volume times.  There will be no skips. 

VG    Will have obvious signs of wear, lack of original gloss.  Light scratches that may be audible.  Does not skip on my system.

Good - Will probably have scratches or defects that are audible.  Records may be warped.  There could be skipping and /or loud pops. 

All attempts will be made to list other imperfections of the cover such as liquid damage, split seams, tears. missing pieces or other damage in the description.

All 12” vinyl records will ship media mail.  At buyers request most (but not all) single 12” records can ship 1st class mail at no additional charge.  1st class mail may allow the record to arrive a day or two faster especially on the West Coast.  1st class shipping must weigh less then 14oz so what is forfeited is extra packing protection, so I can‘t be responsible for broken records (which seldom happens, but can).  Again, all will ship media mail unless requested by the buyer.
