Goin' Back to Indiana was a live/soundtrack album by The Jackson 5 for Motown Records, taken from their September 16, 1971 ABC TV special of the same name. This is the Jackson 5's sixth album overall.
The Goin' Back to Indiana television special featured comedians Bill Cosby and Tommy Smothers, singers Bobby Darin and Diana Ross, football players Roosevelt "Rosey" Grier, and Ben Davidson, and basketball stars Bill Russell, Elgin Baylor, and Elvin Hayes. It also featured tracks recorded by the Jackson 5 during their May 29 "homecoming" concert in Gary, Indiana (hence, both the show title and name of 1970 song that appeared on Third Album). The album went on to sell 2.6 million copies worldwide.[2]

Grading Scale
Mint - Sealed and unplayed.
Near Mint -Virtually New, this grading is given only to opened albums that still appearbrand new but have been played.
Excellent - Slightly flawed albums that might havea couple of scuffs that do not effect play. There will be no pops orskips. Covers might have 1 to 2 minor flaws.
Very Good Plus - For an album, thisgrading will mean that there are potentially some pops or background noise, notskips, when playing. There will be some visual wear to the vinyl. For a cover, this grading will reflect 3-4 visual flaws, but there will be noseam splitting or discount holes/clips. There may be minor ring wear, orslight corner rounding
Very Good - For an album there mightbe a couple of skips, but they are not fatal skips, they do play through. These albums will also show some surface wear and potentially label wear orwriting on the labels. They are still players though! You should beable to enjoy most of the album with just a skip or two and not have to get upand move the needle. For the cover, they will show 5-6 visual flaws.
Good -This grading should not even be on any item that I am selling unless it is inrelation to a busted up cover with a great NM or EXC graded vinyl in it. This cover will likely have major seam splitting along with multiple otherflaws. The vinyl will be challenging to listed to with multiple scuffsand fatal skips. Just buy a better copy.
Poor - Album is junk and the Cover is trash. Why would you buy something like this? Just remember this grading scalewhen you buy albums on Ebay. A lot of sellers fluff their grading scaleand don't tell you about all of the flaws when they sell them. Don't beafraid to send back your vinyl if it has not been graded correctly.
