The record is in near mint condition, and comes in its original SEALED cardboard sleeve and cover. Perfect for Christmas occasions, this first edition vinyl record has a record grading of near mint, and a sleeve grading of near mint as well. The black vinyl is 12" in size and spins at 33 RPM. Dave Wilson recorded the selections on this album using two AKG C-414 condenser microphones to capture a natural, ambient sound field with good frequency response and time domain qualities. The Omni pattern was used for all pieces except "Sleep Baby and Smile", in which the figure of eight pattern was employed, and "And Holy is His Name", in which the C-414's excellent hyper-cardioid patter was used to good effect.
Audiophiles unaccustomed to the sound of this organ should expect an extremely warm, full sound. Spectrum analysis reveals very little output above 3KHZ, but with prodigious output in the vicinity of 32HZ. This record will reward subwoofer owners, while not threatening their tweeters.
