Description
This is the very rare King Deep Groove LP 635, by James Brown and his Famous Flames, called Try Me. Has "King" 2 inches wide on label, which means it's the first pressing. Songs are Try Me, There Must Be A Reason, Strange Things Happen, Messing With The Blues, Why Do You Do Me, I've Got To Cry, Fine Old Foxy Self, I Want You So Bad, It Was You, I've Got To Change, Can't Be The Same, It Hurts To Tell You, I Won't Plead No More, You're Mine You're Mine, Gonna Try and Don't Let It Happen To Me. Record looks very scratchy. I played the whole LP, and it plays a lot better than it looks, but with some noise, which doesn't overpower the music. The cover is in fair condition. It is split all the way across the top. The bottom was evidently split too, but has been paper-taped at some time. Condition could be better, but if you're a King collector, this is one of the impossible ones to find. It's the only copy I've ever found, in 40 years of collecting. The price guide says $900 for a mint copy.
