CALLING ALL JAMES BROWN COLLECTORS:
JAMES BROWN - sings OUT OF SIGHT - SMASH MGS 27054 Monaural Cover in really good condition - no splits - but does have the deletion punch hole. Vinyl is really good condition. SMASH label 1964 Now if you know your James Brown history, you will indeed know that this is an extremely rare LP as it was only on sale for a short period of time. It became part of an embroiled legal dispute with JB's contractual commitments to the KING label, and his growing dissatisfaction with how he was being managed. He shot across to SMASH and recorded several items and release, by the time the legal wheels got moving, this LP was being released, and a court order saw to it that it was pulled from sale. I believe the period on sale was only a couple of weeks. When the legal agreements had been sorted, this LP was re-released on the SMASH in STEREO, and with a completely different cover. A rare piece of JB collectable. Highly sought after for the JB collector, and rightly so.
