James Moody James Moody's moods Prestige NY DG yellow RVG   James Moody ' James Moody's moods '  PRESTIGE PRLP 7056 (USA)  NY 446W mono yellow label with deep groove - on bottom back cover has the address NY 447W - issued in 1956 - on trail off has 'RVG' for Rudy Van Gelder   James Moody : tenor, alto sax - Dave Burns : trumpet - William Shepherd : trombone - Pee Wee Moore : baritone sax - Jimmy Bond : piano - John Lathan : bass - Clarence Johnson : drums - Eddie Jefferson : vocal   Side A :  The strut (Golson)  - Jammin' with James (Moody-Burns) Side B :  A sinner kissed an angel (David-Joseph) - It might as well be spring (Rodgers-Hammerstein) - I've got the blues (Jefferson) - Blue walk (Golson) - Faster James (Q.Jones)   Visual grading : record is Good+ to VG- has some unfeelable surface marks, a lot of scuffs, lines and few more evident scratches. One scratch on first track side A is feelable. Clean labels with several light spindle wear  Playing grading : record is VG- plays a bit better than it looks. Has loud sound with light background noise and some crackling throughout the record more noticeable in quieter parts. However these playing defects are always much below the music level. All in all this Lp is a good player with the sound still well enjoyable Cover grading : cover is Good+ to VG- has wear to corners, edges and to spine which has tiny piece of paper missing on top and on bottom. Also in the middle spine has a more larger split (cm.6 or 2").  Right sides corners are both repaired for a short seam split. Front cover is fairly nice. Back cover has age yellowing, light rubbing and a piece of slick missing on bottom right corner
