Jan Dukes De Grey LP - Mice And Rats In The Loft - 1971 UK original Transatlantic label.Transatlantic TRA 234,single layer laminated gatefold sleeve with internal clear plastic wallet.

Rare UK original copy of the second album and a change of  style for the band.Three lengthy prog workouts with an interesting combination of instruments in eccentric performances.

Line Up - Derek Noy(guitar,trumpet,trombome.Zelda Chord),Denis Conlan(drums),Michael Bairstow(flute,clarinet,saxophone).

Cover generally excellent externally and very good internally- retains most of its original sheen and lustre,some minor detractions with light creases to laminate across the front,top left and bottom right corners,some other light creases in the laminate,tiny bump and laminate scuff to rear bottom left,front bottom right corners,tiny rub to front top right,rear top left corners,tiniest hint of ring impression,spine near perfect and very little wear to the edges.Internally it retains the clear plastic inner with foam strip,tape holding it in place has discoloured,a few other spots of discolouration exist from contact between the plastic and card,also a short tippex strip rear bottom edge left. 

Disc is generally very good - the foam strip along the opening edges of the inner has had the unforeseen effect in storage of leaving a deposit where it came into contact with the edge of the vinyl unfortunately causing some surface noise at the beginning of both sides(about 3 mins. on side 1 and 1 min. on side 2).There is a single spindle surface scuff on side 1,which does not appear to effect the sound.Apart from those marks the vinyl has a very bright appearance with excellent clarity to the music.There is some occasional light surface noise and clicks throughout both sides,generally not distracting but the transition between the two tracks on side 2 is a bit noisy.
