This debut album has to be my all time favourite of Jancis releases (and I have every album). In among some well chosen covers (Paul Simon, Sydney Carter) there are some of the best songs Jancis ever wrote and sung. Her lyrics and style bring to mind an English version of early Joni Mitchell or possibly a female Donovan. As with all her albums, there is a Christian thread running through some tracks, but this is never "preachy". If your tastes include Simon and Garfunke - Bookends, Joni Mitchell's debut album or Judy Henske you will find much to please your ears. This is in the classic folk troubadour style with occasional psych flourishes. Wonderful. Original UK issue in EX/EX condition
