Description

Up for sale is a 1st Pressing of a 50 yr old Lp from Janis Joplin.Her 1st Lp called I Got Dem Ol' Kozmic Blues Again Mama!  Vinyl Lp!
On the Back on the cover in the Top left hand corner is a weathered,from time,50 year old Promo Sticker!
I'm not 100% sure this is a Promo as I've never had,owned or sold a Promo Lp from the 60's,I've only had Promo Lp's from the 70's & 80's.
From what I could tell from Columbia Records from the mid/late 60's they used the same Center/Red colored Label for Side A/Side B and NOT a White Promo Center Label most of us are used to seeing from the 70's & 80's Lp Promo pressings.I saw a Mid/late 60's Columbia Center label photo of a Bob Dylan Lp and the same Promo/Demonstration Only sticker,that is on the back cover of this Lp was on that Lp as well.

The Deadwax #'s & letters match up for being a 1st U.S. Lp Pressing and if the Promo Sticker on the back cover is accurate then this is one of a handful of 1st pressings for this Classic,50 year old record.
The Vinyl Lp itself I would rate at a SOLID VG++,considering it's age,and considering how well both sides look.If it did not have any VERY minor surface scratches I would rate this at NM,but I can't.I did not even clean this Lp other than a gentle brushing before playing Side A and other than some VERY MINOR,VERY LIGHT crackles Side A sounds FANTASTIC! The Vocals,Drums,Percussion,all sound GREAT!
The Cover itself,again,I would rate at a Solid VG++ and from photos presented there are ZERO rips,tears,or hole punches front or back,but for arguments sake I will say it's a VG+ because it's not as close to NM but if you see from the different angles I took of the Lp Cover for a 50 year old Lp Cover it looks AMAZING!
