Original UK rough orange CBS label stereo press LP.

 This is Janis Joplin's first solo album with her new band 'The Kosmic Blues Band' after she quit Big Brother in December 1968. It was recorded after a troubled European tour over 10 days in New York in June & released in September 1969, after she had appeared at Woodstock. This is the original issue with the second label variant, with the MCPS/Chappell credits, the earliest A-1 B-1 matrices and later B-24 A-37 stampers!
  The Shorepak matt sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear & a little storage rubbing on the front cover. The spine is intact and fully readable, the CBS company inner is intact & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX+ condition, with only a couple of faint sleeve removal hairlines visible on each side. The labels are in EX+ condition, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on either side.   The sound reproduction is EX+, still clear & precise throughout with no loud hiss or crackle & definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some brief background noise during the run in grooves, overall a really great, loud & clear listen.  

The matrix nos. are; SBPG-63546, A-1 stamper B-24, B-1 stamper A-37, This is one of the later copies of the 1st pressing of the original 1969 UK stereo issue of this album!

  All lp's are sent in cardboard record mailers with plastic covers and cardboard stiffeners to protect the LP's!!   UK Signed For Postage is £4.50 for the first LP & is the same for up to four single LP's or two double LP's or more up to 2kg.
