Up for auction is a lot of two Simply Vinyl audiophile 180 gram discs Pearl from Janis Joplin and Tapestry from Carol King. Pearl was Joplin's last recording before her untimely death just 3 days after she recorded her last song ,Mercedes Benz. Other great songs from what turned out to be not only a posthumous released album but also her greatest commercial success include, Move Over, Cey Baby, and the Kris Kristofferson cover Me And Bobby McGee. Carol King's Tapestry was released 1 year after Pearl in 1971 and hardly anyone from this era in the summer of 71 radio stations were playing Either George Harrison's My Sweet Lord or Kings greatest song about love lost I'ts To Late. Also from this great LP is I Feel The Earth Move, So Far Away, You Got A Friend Famously covered by James Taylor who also appears on this track as an acoustic Guitarist. Finally Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow Two great LPs from an era were it was much harder to find female singer songwriters with this kind of success. These recordings are on 180 gram vinyl and a product of the UK and both are in like new condition. The opening bid is $40.00 for both.
